The indulgent afternoon starts in The Block Arcade (we like to think it was named after a block of chocolate), the most elegant arcade in Melbourne, and home to Haigh’s Chocolates. Here we combine tastings with an insight into the history of the family who has dedicated its last 4 generations from 1915 to the making of chocolate.

The journey continues at Ganache Chocolates and its first chocolate temple in the heart of the city.    You will see and experience first hand this humble Master Chocolatier’s passion for chocolate and patisserie.   When fortune has it, you may even be lucky enough to meet with Arno himself!

Still on Collins Street, we will continue to Lindt Chocolate Café, the first Lindt salon opened in Melbourne. Learn a little of the long history of this Swiss chocolate company and sample their delicious creations.

A few more steps leads us into the Royal Arcade, the oldest arcade in the city, where mythical gods Gog and Magog watch over the chocolate world of Koko Black.   Learn about the tempering process as you taste one of their handcrafted chocolates and then soak up the atmosphere of this exquisite salon.

What better way to complete the adventure with an afternoon tea at Laurent Boulangerie Patisserie, where you will choose hot chocolate, tea or coffee and one of their rich French cake creations.  Good luck deciding!
